Infertility is the inability to conceive after one year of unprotected intercourse, or the inability to carry a pregnancy to term. This definition is reduced to six months for:
- Women over 35
- Women with a history of painful periods, irregular cycles, pelvic inflammatory disease and miscarriages

Since the advent of the Pap test the incidence of cervical cancer has decreased dramatically.
Annual pelvic exams are still the only way to detect ovarian cancer.
The earliest sign of uterine cancer is abnormal bleeding.
A Baseline mammogram is recommended between the ages of 35 and 40 with annual mammograms after 40 unless you are in a high risk category.
